Fundamentals of Cybersecurity

Want to gain more technical skills? Gain extracurricular experience? Don fancy honors cords at graduation? This is the course for you!

The Cybersecurity Fundamentals course was developed by former Anderson faculty Eugene Rooney to be a free, non-credit resource for students who are a part of iSMART. 


The course will be open to students for a full year in a self-paced format and introduces technical skills common in Cybersecurity and IT fields, including Linux, Encryption, Log Analysis, Python Programming, Wireshark, and more!

In addition to gaining new skills and competencies, students who complete the course will also receive an honors cord if they attend an in-person graduation ceremony recognize their dedication to their studies. More information about accessing the course will be presented at the first iSMART meeting of the Fall semester on September 7th at 6:00PM.
